The company began in 1916 with Milaeger Well & Pump. Now, three generations later, the Milaeger family is still involved in the success of Municipal.

In 1992, Milaeger joined forces with Municipal Well & Pump to become one of the leading providers of well and pump services.

In 2000, Municipal Well & Pump was purchased by Sam Vander Galien, Jr. 

Then on August 31, 2005, the employees of MWP purchased the entire company from Sam.  As an employee owned company, every employee is committed and willing to do what it takes to make MWP successful.

On February, 23, 2007, Midwest Well Services, Inc. purchase Pumpstation Professionals, who provides electrical controls, pumpstation repairs and maintenance to hundreds of golf courses throughout the Midwest.
